If you have received a rejection letter in response to an offer you send to one of your creditors, you should report this in Paydoff right away. When a creditor rejects your offer, it does not mean that they will not work with you. It means the offer you submitted in not accepted to them at this time. The fact that the creditor took the time to send you a rejection letter is often a good sign. Typically if the creditor did not want to work with you, they would not take the time to respond to your offers.
Review the rejection letter in detail now. Look for language where the creditor offers to resolve the account for another amount, known as a counter offer. If this letter does contain a counter offer, you will want to report the counter offer into Paydoff. You can learn about counter offers by reading “Creditor sent me a counter offer"
If your letter does not contain a counter offer, you will want to report the rejection in Paydoff following the easy steps shown below. Paydoff will guide you what to do next.
