How to Get Your Credit Report
If you do not have recent creditor statements or collection letters, your best option is to pull a copy of your credit report. Your credit report will list out all of your debts, the balances, partial or full account numbers and the delinquency status. You can take the info you find on your credit report and enter it into Paydoff when you are listing your creditors.
Even if you do have creditor statements, monitoring your credit report is important. You will want to review your report to ensure that everything is accurate and that there are no mistakes. There are three national credit reporting agencies. To get an accurate view of your credit, you will want to review all 3 reports. The three reporting bureaus are: TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires each of these credit reporting agencies to provide to consumers a copy of their credit report for free annually at your request - once every 12 months.
To order your free credit report, you can contact the 3 reporting agencies directly and request the reports. Or, you can visit: www.anualcreditreport.com or call 1-877-322-8228. You can also contact the 3 credit reporting agencies directly to obtain your reports.
