Listing your creditor’s addresses with Paydoff is very important – but if you don’t have your creditor’s address handy now, that’s okay. You can simply skip that step on the wizard and come back to update your account later.
Keep in mind that you will need each of your creditor’s addresses to send letters and offers when the time comes. So, when you have a chance, go through your statements and/or collection letters and update the address info in Paydoff.
If you notice there are multiple addresses on your creditor statement or letter, you should enter into Paydoff the creditor Customer Service Address over the Payment Address. The primary function for the address is so that you can create and send letters and settlement offers to your creditors. It is much more beneficial to send letters and offers to the Customer Service Address rather than the Payment Address.
Don’t have creditor statements or collection letters? That’s okay. If you receive monthly statements and/or regular collection letters, you can just wait until you receive your next statement or letter to update the info in Paydoff. If you are no longer receiving letters or statements from your creditors, you should pull your credit report. You can receive a free credit report each year by visiting: www.annualcreditreport.com.
